Dear Clover Customer,

Twelve months ago, we embarked on a journey to strengthen the Clover brand.  We started with our two well-known local names, Clover Stornetta Farms and Clover Organic Farms, and merged them into one, Clover Sonoma. In the process, we updated all of our packaging and made the decision to convert all of our conventional milk to meet Non-GMO Project Verified standards.

None of these decisions were made lightly, but all of them were made to make Clover a better brand for you and a stronger brand for the future.

For over twenty years, we operated with multiple brand names: Clover Stornetta Farms, Clover Organic Farms, and occasionally, Clover Petaluma. We know this has been confusing for you. Frankly, at times, it’s been confusing for us. Going to one name – Clover Sonoma – makes it easier for new and existing customers to understand who we are and what we stand for. In choosing Clover Sonoma, we honor our local community and the incredible land we are fortunate to call home.

For many of you, the Clover Stornetta milk packaging is incredibly nostalgic. You may have drunk from the same brightly colored carton as a kid that you now pour for your children. We know that these are fond memories, but we also realized that the outdated design was not reflecting the new and innovative things we’ve been doing here at Clover: working with the American Humane Association, creating the Clover Promise of Excellence, and launching Non-GMO Project Verified milk.

As we redesigned, we knew that there were certain things that are so much a part of who we are, they could not go: the bright colors that make Clover milk easy to find, and of course, our beloved Clo! On our new packages, you will see that both of the elements are as prominent as ever.

The first new package we launched was our conventional half-gallon milk. Not only was it a new design, but it was the first Clover conventional milk to be Non-GMO Project Verified. Because we believe that you should have a choice in the grocery store, we are now offering the first Non-GMO Project Verified conventional milk in California. By early 2018, we plan to offer Non-GMO Project Verified milk across all of our sizes.

While the package has changed and some milk has now become Non-GMO Project Verified, it is still the same high-quality Clover milk: sourced from local family farms, American Humane Certified, and always rBST free.
We know that these changes are significant, but we hope that with time you can agree they are for the better. We cannot thank you enough for the support you’ve given us over the past 100 years – we would not be the brand we are today without your loyalty and trust. With that, we raise our glass to you and cheers to another 100 years!
