Maintenance Controls Programmer

Full Time

About the Role

At Clover Sonoma, we have an exciting Maintenance opportunity. We are seeking a highly motivated Maintenance Controls Programmer to ensure we create the best product in the most efficient manner. This position requires someone who is highly analytical and can use their skills to examine and improve the production process in order to increase productivity.

The right candidate must have the adaptability to work with various departments internal and external. In an effort to lead projects in the development and implementation of automation in mechanical assembly, and inspection processes. This will include design, specification, and installation of automated systems and equipment.

 

Salary Range:  $85,300.00 – $100,400.00 per year

Responsibilities

  • This position is responsible for understanding all our automated systems on site.
  • Design, install, modify, and review PLC-based systems and HMI interfaces.
  • Controls system commissioning, startup, and qualification support.
  • Support the system improvement project/activities for process automation, building automation, and data historian systems.
  • Participate in equipment electrical troubleshooting in order to maintain quality production.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in providing assistance for deviations, CAPAs, and change controls for automated systems.

What you bring to the Team

  • 3 – 5 years industrial experience preferred in food manufacturing operations, with working knowledge of production unit operations, GMPs, FDA regulatory guidelines and validation principles.
  • Knowledge of control panel design, PLC/HMI programming, industrial networks, and communication protocols (Ethernet).
  • Knowledge of safe work practices as applied to Arc Flash, electrical circuits, 24VAC, VDC to 480V, hand tools, and high work.
  • Knowledge of theory of motor drives, motor controls, sensors, actuators, heaters, refrigeration, pumps, controllers, and 4-20mA signal.
  • Knowledge of rockwell automation systems (PLC, HMI) and wonder ware data historian systems.
  • Experience with allen-bradley controllers and programming software RS logix 500, 1000, 1200, 1400, and 5000.
  • Familiarity with good PLC/SCADA programming standards and practices.
  • Experience with electrical circuits including 3 phase 480Vac, 3 phase, and single phase 240Vac, 120Vac, and 24Vdc power distribution
  • Ability to calibrate instrumentations (flow meters, level sensors, etc).
  • Experience on equipment commissioning and startup.
  • Good understanding of 21CFR11 and GMP guidance document.

Physical Requirements and Working Hours

  • Work partly outdoors/Indoors.
  • Work around various detergents and sanitizing solutions ranging in temperatures. from 70 degrees Fahrenheit to 160 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Lifting boxes and or equipment ranging from 25 to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, crouch, sit, or stand for long periods of time.

 

Clover Sonoma is a 24 hour/7 days a week processing and distribution plant. This role may require occasional weekend availability from time to time.Work schedule will be Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
