Maintenance Technician Tier 2

Full Time

About the Role

The Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Technician will support and maintain Clover’s milk processing, bottling, and distribution facilities and reports to the Engineering/Maintenance Manager.

 

Pay Rate: $39.36 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Preventative Maintenance and repair of filling machines and related equipment, casing, stacking, conveying machinery, palletizing and wrappers
  • Preventative Maintenance and repair of valves, pumps, separator, HTST’s, and CIP systems
  • Preventative Maintenance and repair of HVAC systems, boilers, pneumatic systems, refrigeration systems, lighting, electrical systems, natural gas and wastewater systems
  • Keep and maintain records and documentation to track and allow for effective forecasting of machine and equipment failure and service requirements to keep equipment at optimum working status
  • Systems knowledge and trouble-shooting skills for programmable logic controllers, variable frequency drives, control voltage (24 VDC and 24 VAC – 120VAC) and electrical single and 3 phase (120 , 208, 220, 380, 480 VAC)
  • Maintain sanitary conditions for machinery and personal habits in accordance with State and Federal regulations and company policy
  • Execute all job duties in accordance with Clover’s rigorous Food Safety and Quality programs and policies
  • Fully understand your role and associated responsibilities for maintaining food safety and quality at Clover

What You Bring to the Team

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years applicable experience
  • Strong electrical and mechanical skills
  • Intermediate plumbing skills
  • Previous manufacturing equipment repair experience
  • Physical labor may require lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Interact well with personnel in multiple departments.
  • Experience following Good Manufacturing Procedures
  • Must have basic knowledge of computers
  • Ability to read and comprehend manuals
  • Working knowledge and understanding of dairy processing processes (preferred but not required)
  • Pasteurization, homogenization, sanitation, CIP theory, legal system controls, fluid flow and dynamics (preferred but not required)
  • Welding (TIG, MIG, Arc) experience (preferred but not required)

 

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and/or carry at least 50lbs; bend, twisting.

Working Hours

Clover Sonoma is a 24 hour/7 days a week work environment.  Work schedules vary, flexibility is critical.  Shifts are typically, (4) days, ten (10) hours a day.

 

Shift days and hours:  Work Days (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday) (3:00am – 1:30pm)
