About the Role
Clover Sonoma is looking for a motivated individual with strong quality assurance experience to join
our team as a Quality Assurance Technician. This position will be responsible for the required tests,
inspections, and documentation to assist Clover in assuring product quality and food safety across
all product lines, packaging, and ingredients. This position reports to the Quality Assurance
Manager.

Hourly pay rate per hour: $23.99-$28.22 pending DOE
Full Time – Wednesday through Saturday 2:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Responsibilities
• Conduct laboratory tests and inspections on raw materials, packaging, and finished products
• Test samples for a variety of qualities including chemical and physical characteristics,
microbiological integrity, and sensory evaluation (requiring taste and smell)
• Record and evaluate test data
• Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies. Prepare necessary media and reagents for use in the laboratory
• Develop a working knowledge of plant and warehouse processes to aid in problem solving and internal auditing
• Identify quality problems and communicate to the applicable operational personnel and management
• Perform food safety and sanitation audits to ensure compliance with company policies, state and federal requirements, and customer specifications
• Implement and maintain quality systems
• Provide technical support to vendors, customers, and various company departments
• Help maintain supplier quality database and product spec database
• Assist with new product development and launches
• Maintain a detailed and accurate scientific notebook
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the QA Manager or Director of Quality
• Execute all job duties in accordance with Clover’s rigorous Food Safety and Quality programs and policies
• Fully understand your role and associated responsibilities for maintaining food safety and quality at Clover
What You Bring to the Team
• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field; 2-3 years of
experience performing quality tests in a food processing environment; or an equivalent combination
of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
• Chemistry and microbiology experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong computer skills, including Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and G-Suite.
• Perform moderate physical labor on the job to include walking, climbing steps and ladders, lifting
50lbs, pushing and pulling 200lbs
• Must be shift flexible company is operational 24/7
• HACCP/Preventive Controls or SQF training highly desirable
