Warehouse Distribution Supervisor

Full Time

About the Role

  The Distribution Supervisor will be responsible for managing the distribution warehouse teams. This person will lead the team in delivering positive results against performance objectives on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.  The individual will provide leadership and oversight when issues occur to keep the effectiveness of the operations.

Salary Range: $79,300 – $93,300 per year

Responsibilities

Responsible for meeting or exceeding shift Key Performance Indicators in the areas of:

    • Order Selecting Efficiencies
    • On time loading of Clover Routes and Distributors
    • Warehouse staff accuracy
    • Staff Safety and Incident Rate
  • Provides administrative supervision for the team to allow for the greatest focus on picking and loading efforts
  • Bring guidance to the crew for system, process and product problem solving
  • Make necessary adjustments to the crewing to meet business needs and address any unforeseen challenges that may arise
  • Provide ongoing process improvement ideas and concepts to generate greater efficiencies to the overall department
  • Train and provide ongoing oversight to standard operating procedures
  • Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
  • Champion an environment of Safety First
  • Oversee all warehouse sanitation and housekeeping
  • Lead new product transition in the warehouse areas
  • Oversee all warehouse timecards and approvals
  • Oversee all warehouse inventory and waste management
  • Maintain departmental records as defined by the Distribution Manager
  • Support warehouse in meeting compliance standards for SQF

What You Bring to the Team

  • Strong team leadership and safety focus
  • Strong working knowledge of pick-to-order warehouse practices is essential
  • Experience working with ERP systems and shop floor handhelds
  • Good working knowledge of Customer Service, Logistics, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Time management, project management and problem solving skills
  • Experience with Google Office Products, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint
  • Experience in refrigerated distribution and logistics (preferred)

Education

  • Minimum high school diploma and ideally at least an AA college degree
  • Material handling equipment certified
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies – desired, but not required
