Perucchi Dairy

The Perucchis have been a Clover dairy since 1999, and have provided milk to Sonoma County residents for more than 50 years. Receiving grants in 2021 and 2022 from Zero Foodprint, along with a California Department of Food and Agriculture Healthy Soils grant in 2022, they have implemented regenerative practices, like compost application, that increase carbon capture and allow their dairy to further innovate.

Sustainability – No-Till Drill

Perucchi Dairy utilizes no-till drill planting, which allows them to plant new grasses without disrupting the soil or creating uneven ground when their cows are grazing. This preserves the ecosystem, enhances soil health, and keeps carbon locked into the ground and out of the atmosphere.

Regenerative Farming – Compost Application

With their Zero FoodPrint grant, the Perucchis were awarded funding for 350 tons of compost application across 25 acres. This regenerative farming practice has enhanced soil biology, increased carbon sequestration potential, and reduced soil erosion while enhancing crop yields on their dairy.
