Lemon Brownies

A springtime twist on a classic baked good! Enjoy the same texture of a brownie but with a burst of lemon flavor.

Ingredients

 

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 stick of Clover Sonoma salted butter, softened
  • Zest of one lemon
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup flour (sifted)
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice

Directions

Preheat your oven to 350°F and line an 8x8 baking dish.

In large bowl, mix together lemon zest and sugar until combined.

Add softened butter and mix until light and fluffy.

Add lemon juice and eggs. Once combined, slowly incorporate flour and baking soda.

Add to baking dish and bake for 25 minutes.

Mix remaining lemon juice and powdered sugar to create glaze.

Once lemon bars are cooled, top with glaze, let set, and slice into 16 pieces.
