Clover Stornetta Farms Announces the 20th Anniversary Billboard Contest Winners

Petaluma, CA.—First place winner of Clover Stornetta Farms’ 20th Anniversary Billboard Contest is Daniel Judd of Rohnert Park, CA whose headline, “Clo Ahead, Milk My Day” earned him $5,000. His idea will be featured on a billboard and in the new Wholly Cow II book. Judd’s idea was based on the famous saying from Clint Eastwood in the movie Dirty Harry; “Go ahead, make my day.”

The billboard contest drew more than 12,000 entries from throughout the United States. That’s more than double the amount of entries in the original contest that Clover hosted 20 years ago. This year’s winners were selected by three prestigious ad agencies: Deutsch Inc. in Los Angeles, The Martin Agency in Richmond, VA, and Goodby Silverstein and Partners in San Francisco.

The second place winning slogan is “You Had Me at Clo” by Meagan Finnerty of Santa Rosa, CA. Finnerty will take home a prize of $2,500 and five copies of the Wholly Cow II book. And last, but certainly not least, is our third place winner, Justin DeFreitas of Berkeley, CA whose slogan “Heifer Lasting Love” will earn him $1,000 and five copies of the Wholly Cow II book.

“The contest was a great success. We thoroughly enjoyed looking through the public’s ideas.” said Joanie Benedetti, Director of Marketing, for Clover Stornetta Farms. “Clo is a lucky bovine with a lot of admirers. We can’t wait for another 20 years for the next contest.”
