Ingredients

  • 1 scoop Vanilla ice cream
  • Shot Bourbon of choice
  • 1/3 Cup Clover Eggnog
  • 1 Shot Espresso or strong coffee
  • Whipped cream (optional) – Freshly grated nutmeg (optional)

Directions

1

Begin by setting out your vanilla ice cream for a few minutes to take the hard chill off, making it easier to scoop.

2

While the ice cream is softening slightly, brew a few shots of espresso or make a pot of strong coffee. You'll want the coffee or espresso to be hot and ready to pour.

3

Take your serving dishes or glasses, ensuring they are heat-resistant and won't shatter when exposed to temperature changes. Scoop a generous portion of vanilla ice cream into each dish.

4

Add a splash of bourbon over the ice cream. The amount you use can vary depending on your preference, but generally, 1-2 tablespoons per serving is a good starting point.

5

Pour a similar amount of eggnog over the ice cream. The eggnog complements the bourbon and adds that classic holiday flavor

6

With your coffee or espresso ready, carefully pour it over the ice cream, bourbon, and eggnog. The hot liquid will begin to melt the ice cream slightly, creating a delightful hot-cold contrast

7

Give the affogato a gentle stir to blend the flavors together.

8

If you want to add an extra touch of indulgence, top each affogato with a dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkle of freshly grated nutmeg.
